For over a thousand years, prehistoric farmers inhabited much of
the present-day state of Arizona. Among these ruins is the Casa
Grande, or "Big House," one of the largest and most mysterious
prehistoric structures ever built in North America. Casa Grande
Ruins, the nation's first archeological preserve.

Paramount Theatre
Built in 1929 by the same theatre chain that built the Orpheum Theatre
in Phoenix, AZ, Casa Grande's Paramount Theatre was the first talking

Peak State Park
Picacho Peak was often used as a landmark by early explorers. During
the 17th century, dedicated Jesuit priest Father Kino mentioned
Picacho Peak in records of his journeys into Arizona, and in 1775,
the DeAnza Expeditions passed by the Peak.
